Services of late Nasim ul Haq Osmani eulogised

LAHORE (PR) — A condolence meeting under the auspices of Pakistan Freelance Journalists Association was held here the other day in respect of late Maulana Nasim ul Haq Usmani who fought a valiant war against curbing of genuine rights of workers belonging to newspaper industry for the major part of his life.

The meeting was chaired by Iqbal Yousufi in which glowing tributes were paid to a tireless and devoted trade union leader by host of freelance journalists from all over Pakistan. He rose from a calligraphist to the rank of a highly respectful leader representing all categories of the workers of national press. Late Maulana Nasim ul Haq Usmani honestly endeavoured to guide and help restore the genuine rights and demands of the workers who laboured in lamentable working conditions.

Mr. Iqbal Yousufi in his address said due to sad demise of the late Maulana Nasim ul Haq Usmani, the trade union movement of the newspaper industry has to bear an irreparable loss.

Shakeel Siddiqui, Khalid Pervaiz Malik, Naeem Qureshi and many other journalists and social workers also addressed the audience. At the end of the condolence meeting Fateha Khawani was also held for the departed soul.
